[...] Adam Gilbert did a series of posts about How to Tell if Someone is Full of Shit a while back. His way of finding out what is really important to someone: take a look at their calendar. We all have a finite time to spend on earth and how we spend it tells others what we truly care about. A lot of people always talk about what they want to do, what they want to accomplish, what they meant to do, their intentions, how they want to change the world and on and on and on.
Brad,

I do agree that you can easily get stuck. But at the end of the day, we all have the same 24 hours.

It's what you do with it that makes all the difference.

I believe happiness is a choice. Unhappiness is too. It's just a state of mind. It's how you look at things.

If someone chooses to spend their time being unhappy whether it's by feeling sorry, depressed, angry, whatever; it's their choice.

They can be using that same time to do something else, more productive!

I like your views on this, straightforward and logical. It is a bit eye opening when you really start to think about it.

"People who are always unhappy like to be unhappy. If you spend your time, your precious time, being unhappy then evidently you like to be unhappy..."
This is the only I might disagree with. Although largely true, it is possible to get 'stuck' or at least the feeling of stuck in a particular job or situation that you cannot immediately remedy. I guess the word 'always' overrides this argument though...
