The Patriots and Perfection and The Price Of It

As much as we all enjoy watching the underdog win we also enjoy watching perfection. The New England Patriots played the Philadelphia Eagles last night and were losing in the 4th quarter. Extremely rare for the Patriots this season who in my opinion are going to go 16-0.

They did wind up winning and I’m sure many people were upset about that.

The same reason why I’d like to see the Patriots go 16-0 is the same reason why I love Michael Jordan and also enjoy watching Tiger Woods and a perfect game being thrown. These guys/teams are winners. They find a way. They make it happen. They don’t make excuses. They are the best in the world.

However, as a person, seeking perfection is extremely dangerous. In fact, if you seek perfection you will never be happy or satisfied and you will also never do anything. You’ll suffer from analysis paralysis which is an awful habit of over thinking something until you don’t do anything.

Microsoft has released many bugged versions of their product knowing that they’d improve upon it. If they had sought perfection from day 1, they would have done nothing.

Although I want to do whatever I do to the absolute best of my ability, I know it’s impossible to achieve perfection.
As much as I talk about marketing and design and all sorts of business lingo my website for my business (MyBodyTutor.com) isn’t the greatest in the world. I have about ten million ideas in my head of how I intend to make my company the company I dream of.

However, I can’t do or have everything I want right now.

But my website served its purpose. It proved to me that my idea works in a big way and that’s all that matters. If I let my perfectionist ways get the best of me, I would have never launched my company.

I would have never launched Bingcoupons.com. And that means I would have never started the Ultimate Discount Card.

I wouldn’t have ever done anything. In fact, this blog wouldn’t exist!

There is no such thing as perfection! It’s all about progress…

And as long as you are making continual progress personally and professionally that is all that counts in my eyes.

Happy Thanksgiving (And one of My Most Popular Posts Ever!)

Last year I wrote a post about a boy named Shaya. I got more email from that post than any other post I have ever written. Several people told me that this post made them cry.

So, I think I’m going to make it a tradition to post it every Thanksgiving as it marks the official beginning of the holidays and the season of giving.

Here it is:

My holiday gift to you: The Secret of Happiness (A Holiday Message)

Today, in honor of this season of giving and joy, I have a special gift for you. It comes not in a light blue box with a fancy ribbon, but in the unadorned text of the message you’re about to read.

It reveals one of the great secrets of marketing, of life, of how to connect with people, and, most of all, how to experience unsurpassed joy any time you wish.

This is my holiday gift to you, a true story that will hopefully touch your heart.

This story is about a father of a disabled child, named Shaya.

This story was originally reported in New York newspapers. It was so touching, it spread like wildfire across the internet, and many began to question, “Did this really happen, or is it just another urban legend?”

Yes, This Story Really Is True.

Well, that’s the amazing part of this story. It is true. In fact, because of all the buzz, a web site called “TruthOrFiction.com” investigated and has reported that, yes, the story is indeed true. It has also been confirmed by a highly respected Rabbi and author, Paysach Krohn of Brooklyn, who says that he personally knows the participants and that every word of the story is true as originally reported.

As I said, the story is about Shaya, a learning disabled boy in Brooklyn.

On weekends, Shaya and his dad like to go for walks. As they do, they like to stop and watch the neighborhood boys play baseball.

On this one Sunday afternoon, as they approached the ball field, Shaya looked up at his father and asked, “Dad, do you think they would let me play?”

Now, this gave Dad a dilemma. He knows his son is learning disabled, very uncoordinated, and has never played baseball before.

But Dad also knows that the neighborhood boys have always treated Shaya with kindness. And he feels that if he, his father, doesn’t speak up for Shaya, who will?

So he walked over to one of the boys and asked, “What do you think about letting Shaya in the game?”

The boy didn’t know what to say, and looked around to his teammates for guidance. Not getting any, he took matters into his own hands. He said, “Well, we’re about to start the eighth inning, and we’re losing by six runs. I don’t think we’re going to win this game, so what’s the difference? Get him a glove and he can play behind second base, in short center field,” which Shaya did with a big smile on his face.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shaya’s team rallied and scored three runs. But they were still losing by three.

In the bottom of the ninth, they rallied again. They had three runners on base, two out, and it was Shaya’s turn to bat.

Dad wondered, will they even let him bat? But without hesitation, one of the boys shouted, “Shaya, you’re up!” and he was handed a bat.

But as he stood at home plate, it was obvious to all that Shaya didn’t even know how to hold the bat, let alone hit with it.

So the pitcher moved in a couple of feet and lobbed the ball very softly so Shaya could at least make contact.

Shaya swung and missed by a wide margin. Before the second pitch, one of Shaya’s teammates called out, “Hold on, let me help him. Let me show him how to bat.”

This boy came and stood behind Shaya, and put his arms around him so the two boys were now holding the bat together.

The pitcher moved in a couple more feet and again lobbed the ball as softly as he could.

The two boys swung the bat together and managed to tap a soft grounder right back toward the pitcher. Shaya’s teammates yelled, “Run, Shaya! Run to first!” And he took off for first.

But the pitcher pounced on the ball in an instant and could easily have thrown Shaya out at first, ending the game.

Instead, the pitcher took the ball and, with obvious intention, threw it on a high arc way over the first baseman’s head, all the way into the outfield.

Shaya was safe at first. The first baseman turned him toward second and said, “Run, Shaya, run to second!”

But by then, the right fielder had chased down the ball and he, too, could have easily thrown Shaya out, at second.

But he understood what the pitcher had done.

So he threw the ball not just over second base, but way over the third baseman’s head, so far that nobody was going to retrieve that ball.

As Shaya chugged into second base, the opposing shortstop ran towards him, turned him towards third base and shouted, “Run, Shaya, run to third!”

Of course, by now the three runners who had been on base had scored. The game was tied, Shaya represented the winning run, and his teammates were screaming with excitement.

As Shaya rounded third base, every boy from his team and several from the team on the field were all running behind him, cheering him home.

And as he put his foot on home plate, both teams gathered around him, lifted him on their shoulders and cheered him as the hero of the game. He had just hit a home run and won the game.

These boys gave Shaya the thrill of his life. Of course, they gave him something even more precious – their acceptance.

The Secret of Happiness…

Obviously, these boys had either been taught, or perhaps had discovered on their own, the greatest secret of human happiness.

And that is…

We experience our moments of purest joy at precisely those moments when we are causing it in others.

It is a truism of life—whatever we give out comes back to us, multiplied. Which brings me back to the beginning of this message…

If you want to experience some genuine joy, all you need do is take a few moments to spread some around.

So maybe it’s time to call an old friend who needs calling, to forgive what needs forgiving, to let a family member hear some healing words, to write that note that needs writing, to smile an accepting smile at the next disabled person you encounter, or perhaps to just relax in the moment with someone older who’d love your undivided attention for a few minutes, as all living things thrive on attention.

Of course, you may ask, what does all this have to do with effective marketing, the usual subject of my blog?

Nothing, really.

And everything.

As Malcolm Forbes was fond of saying, “In all thy getting, get understanding.”

It’s vital for all of us to understand that our prospects and customers are people, too . . . and people like to connect with others who are unafraid of showing a little humanity, of taking some time now and then to share a laugh, feel some warmth, express some sympathy, appreciation and gratitude, do a favor, help a charity, be a friend.

Whatever your product, however impressive your expertise, people will never care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Every now and then, toss a few pebbles of caring into your pond of contacts. Those ripples of friendship will spread and unfailingly return to you in waves of appreciation and loyalty.

Finally, I thank you for being such a loyal reader!

Let’s Shit on GuruGilbert!

As you probably know by now, I am the fitness expert for Conde’ Nast. This week’s Q & A had an interesting response in the comments section. You might recall from ‘What does a tuna sandwich have to do with an umbrella? ‘ that I encouraged fellow entrepreneurs to actively share testimonials.

I wrote: “People like to see that other people are using (and loving) your product/service. And don’t be afraid to include testimonials that are less than stellar. The more real and honest you are the better. (Note: In my type of business a lot of people are hesitant to include their full name, etc. If that’s the case, be prepared to hand over a list with your clients contact information – of course, you must ask your clients for permission to do this but if you can, that’s impressive!)”

Staying true to my words, I’d like to share with you my latest ‘Ask Adam’ column. I’m realizing that as my company grows and more people are learning about me and my program that more people are going to talk about me and my program.

Of course, not everyone is always going to say great things. And I’m okay with that. I can’t please everyone. It’s my existing clients that I really care about.

So, in an effort to be as transparent as possible and to share with you the ups and downs of building my dream company, check out this week’s latest Q & A here.

Certainly a lot different from this column.

And thanks to Jason, Alison and Meredith for chiming in about my program. Although they were criticizing my column as opposed to my company, it’s always nice to get some praise!

In business (and life) ya can’t win ’em all. Ya just gotta win the ones that matter!

Boom Selectaaa

It’s Monday morning and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, as always. I just had an amazing two weeks in the most holy land on this planet. That’s pretty crazy. Whether you believe in God or not…that’s pretty powerful.

In Israel, we had a chance to sit down with a guy from the suburbs of Michigan who moved to Israel 13 years ago. This guy was so perplexed by the question of where we came from and why we are here that he has dedicated his life to learning about it.

I forget the exact word he used, but basically, he said that human beings are supposed to experience joy at all times. Obviously, this is not realistic…or is it?

On the way home from Israel, I had the good fortune of sitting next to a Rabbi from Brooklyn. After learning he was a Rabbi, I asked him two questions. What is the purpose of life and how did we get here.

The answers to these questions led to an incredible 2 hour conversation. He was saying how so many people in this world who seem to have everything are so unfulfilled. He believes the solution to feeling fulfilled is to believe in God. He also believes that the purpose of life is to be happy…whatever that means, and to get married and raise a family. God has a plan for you and me and all of us, according to the Rabbi.

If you want something and you feel it then so does God.

I also asked him if he felt that God wanted me to be sitting next to him and if we were supposed to be having a conversation. He said, “Yes, of course! Everything happens for a reason.” He later confessed to me that when he first got on the plane he tried moving his seat because he didn’t want to be near a bunch of kids.

My take away from my past 2 weeks of my life is this:

Life is absolutely amazing. Why do people fight? Why do people hate what they do? Why do people hold back? Why do people not give it their all? Why do people complain as opposed to doing? Why do people not go after their true dreams? Why do people not believe in themselves?

Why can’t you be whoever the hell it is you dream of? Why can’t you have the body you desire?

I know the answer and it’s the reason why MyBodyTutor is taking off.

Life happens. There are too many distractions. There are too many hours to be worked. We are forgetting about what it is we really want to do and we keep making excuses. We keep lying to ourselves.

It’s the same reason why every mega successful person I’ve ever studied has personal coaches, trainers and a personal army of support behind them.

When you lie to yourself you feel like crap. There’s no doubt that when you wake up in the morning with a plan do X, Y and Z and actually get it done you feel better than if you were not do it.

And life is too short to not feel great as often as possible!

Why can’t MyBodyTutor.com be a company with tens of thousands of clients and hundreds of tutors one day?

Why can’t you do what it is you really want to do?

There’s not one good reason in the world. In the end, we’re all just going to be buried 6 feet under the ground.

I’ve never felt this inspired and pumped up in my entire life to make my dreams come true…

There’s nothing stopping me…

Or you.

Back from Israel…

Wow! All I can say is Israel is an absolutely gorgeous place. I had some amazing experiences that I will never forget.

In the past 10 days I swam in the Dead Sea, rode a camel, made a wish at the Wailing Wall, slept under the most insane sky, went to Jerusalem, went to Tel-Aviv, heard a survivor of the Holocaust tell her story, met someone who believes in what he is doing more than anyone I’ve ever met, ate some weird foods, met some extremely interesting people, heard some amazing stories and visited so many cool places and things.

But for me, what I’ll remember most, is the people that I experienced all of this with. It’s amazing how close you can get with people by riding around in a tour bus for 9 straight days, not sleeping that much, going out with them, staying in the same hotels and ultimately experiencing the same life changing, mind opening 10 days together.

One of the questions that fascinates me most is why are we here and how did we get here. I was hoping to get some more clarity on these; the most perplexing, mind boggling questions of all time.

Of course, no one really knows the answer. Everyone believes in their ‘God’ and that the stories and events that have formed their religion is the way it all happened. Personally, I’m not a big fan of organized religion.

Almost every single war is based on religion. Millions and millions of people have been killed by other people for defending ideas they think are right.

Think about that.

We all are given one shot at life. Forget religion, forget race, forget how much money you make, forget it all. We are given this one shot at life to make the most of it and we – human beings – kill other human beings?

More to come. A lot more.

P.S. If you are Jewish and under 27 years old, you should sign up for Birthright. There is absolutely no reason in the world not to go. In fact, If you are reading this blog than you are an open minded person. So, do yourself a favor and take advantage of this amazing opportunity! You won’t regret it.

This world is absolutely amazing…time to travel!

Did you ever think about space? Or why we are here? Or how many millions of galaxies there are? It’s mind blowing.

There are also billions of stars. The amazing thing is that when you’re looking at a star, you’re seeing it as it appeared millions and millions of light years ago. That’s how far it is…or was.

But our Earth is absolutely amazing too.

It’s time to see it.

One of my new goals is to travel to at least one really cool place every single year.

Well, tonight, I’m off to Israel.

I won’t be back until August 16th and I’ll have limited access to email and voice mail.

I look forward to coming back more inspired, energized and pumped up than ever before.

And thank you to my amazing clients for understanding!

Shalom!!!

My mom and the best article anyone could ever hope for…

They say we are a sum of all of our past experiences. I agree but I also believe we are a cumulative sum of the people we spend the most time with.

My beautiful mom is a former English teacher. She taught for many years and found teaching to be very rewarding and meaningful.

We are all who we are today because of experiences/events that have happened to us in the past. The following has had a big impact on my life.

Here it goes.

I remember in 5th grade my mom getting a phone call from one of her former students while we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner.

I heard my mom say, “It’s so great to hear from you, etc., etc.,” and then all of the sudden she screamed, “Terry!!! Yessss! I remember exactly who you are! How are youuu???”

45 minutes later my mom came back to the table smiling ear to ear saying you won’t believe who just called me.

It was a former student, who at the time, was one of the writers for the Cosby Murder Series. He said he was having a conversation with someone about how he got into writing and the person asked who inspired him to pursue his passion.

He thought about it and told the person it was my mother.

The person insisted he get in touch with my mother and thank her.

Most people would stop there. But Terry actually called his old high school and managed to get our phone number. (You just read about that above.)

Since that phone call my mom and Terry have developed a real friendship.

Terry has made my mom’s life complete. Every time we talk about Terry (and he certainly gives us a lot to talk about) she’s smiling ear to ear.

Terry went out of his way to thank my mom for inspiring him to pursue his passion.

There are few things more rewarding in life than helping other people realize their dreams.

Some of the amazing things Terry has done for my mom (and me) are:

-In 5th grade he called my mom and told us to watch a certain episode of the Cosby Murder show. Well, Lainey Gilbert was a main character in that episode.

-My mom retired a few years ago and Terry not only attended her retirement party but gave one of the most heartfelt and sincere speeches ANYONE could EVER hope for.

-Terry was one of the executive producers and writers for a little show called the Sopranos and invited us all to visit the set. (Click here to check that visit out.)

And now this article! (According to Terry, my mom is the one who inspired him to relentlessly go after his dreams

Update: Terry doesn’t stop. He is the series creator of Boardwalk Empire on HBO. We were invited to the set of this amazing show as well. The set is absolutely incredible! (One of these days, I’ll post the pictures.)

Update #2: NY Daily News. Terry mentions my mom in this article for the Daily News on 4/24/12 — a day before her birthday. Coincidence? I think not.

People ask me why I love helping, inspiring and impacting people so much. Well, this is one of the biggest reasons. I’m a teacher at heart. It’s in my blood. My mom was a teacher, along with my aunt and grandma.

Terry, once again, thank you for my making my mom’s life complete, and for helping me to figure out what I want to do!

You have no idea the amount of joy you bring to her (and all of us!). My only hope is that I can do the same with my clients…and I think I’m getting there.

The end. (Cut to black.)

Be the best…or quit!

Several weeks ago I had the awesome fortune of meeting Seth Godin, one of the most brilliant business thinkers in the world. He was speaking about his new book, the Dip.

The Dip is any rough patch you have to get through before achieving your big goal…if in fact you’re chasing the right goal.

Every new project (or job, or hobby, or company) starts out exciting and fun. Then it gets harder and less fun, until it hits a low point that’s really hard and not much fun at all.

And then you find yourself asking if the goal is even worth the hassle. Most people, don’t think the goal is worth it, causing there to be a major superstar shortage.

Unless you have a chance to become the best in the world at your particular craft you need to regroup and focus your efforts elsewhere.

Anyone who is going to hire you, buy from you, recommend you, vote for you, or do what you want them to do is going to wonder if you’re the best choice.

Best as in: best for them, right now, based on what they believe and know. And in the world: as in their world, the world they have access to.

For example, if you live in Syosset and want the best pizza in the world you might choose La Piazza. Or you might choose Mario’s. But, Mario’s or La Piazza doesn’t get to decide if they are the best in the world…we, the consumer do.

If you can get through the Dip to become the best in the ‘world’ and can keep going when the system is expecting you to stop, you will achieve extraordinary results and become a superstar.

But most people won’t push through the dip.

Every time Men’s Health or Cosmopolitan puts a picture of a guy or girl with an insane body, newsstand sales go up. Why?

Well, if everyone had an insane body, it’s unlikely that guys or girls would buy a magazine that teaches them how to get that physique.

The very scarcity of this attribute makes it attractive. Scarcity is what creates value.

95% of the people in this world quit when the going gets tough. But superstars shine when the going gets tough. They lean into the dip.

They realize that if there is no pain…there is no gain.

Maybe you’re in a Dip – a temporary setback that you will overcome if you keep pushing. But maybe it’s really a dead end, which will never get better, no matter how hard you try.

Microsoft’s Zune is a dead end. They have spent over $200 million dollars promoting that thing.

Does anyone have one?

You need to choose the right Dip to get through. What can you become the best in the world at?

Unless they reinvent the game like making a complete new MP3 player that does crazy things that the iPod is not remotely capable of doing they have no chance of gaining ANY market share.

Microsoft word and excel will be around forever. Who does Google think they are trying to compete with Microsoft?

Losers, on the other hand, fall into two basic traps. Either they fail to stick out the Dip – they get to the moment of truth and then give up – or they never even find the right Dip to conquer.

Google is Google because they aren’t competing with Microsoft.

They are reinventing the game. MS word and excel are PC based. Google’s version of word and excel are web based.
They changed the platform. They know they could never compete with Microsoft if they sold software.

MyBodyTutor has no shot of competing with Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers or any of the other big online or offline companies. My belief is that we all need that extra push…on a daily basis.

FYI: Nine percent of all USA Today bestsellers are diet books. Yet today the New England Journal of Medicine reports that one year after going on a diet, on average, people weigh more than when they started because they don’t have a trusted support system.

Anyone can give you a diet.

It’s what you do with it that counts. It’s the ability to get through the Dips that make you a successful dieter.
MBT makes it almost impossible for you to do the things you don’t want to do and very easy (and fun) to do the things you really want to do.

MBT is reinventing the game. No company on Earth offers as much daily and personal accountability as we do. MBT helps people get through their Dips on a daily basis by providing the accountability, knowledge, inspiration and the personal, trusted support system we all need without embarrassing and annoying weekly meetings.

I truly believe my company has a chance to become the #1 health and fitness company in the entire world. In fact, I won’t stop until it is because I know I have the best program in the entire world (But, that’s not for me to decide…that’s for the consumer to decide.).

So, I’m going to leave you with this:

What can you become the best in the world at?

Are you stuck in a dead end job that you hate?

Are you running a company that’s just another me-too company?

Are you bored as hell at work?

Don’t you think it’s time to quit and go after something that you truly love doing. Something you have a chance to excel in?

Average is so boring. Average is for losers.

My Nanny is the Cutest!

I was in Florida last week and I learned a lot while hanging out with my Grandma’s friends.

My grandma is 84 by the way!

I always enjoy speaking with people who are way older because they have lived much longer and have so much more wisdom to share. And besides everyone loves sharing their stories and ideas (at least I do!).

I’ve been going down to Florida every April since I am literally 7 weeks old. So some of my grandma’s friends are almost like a second family.

I asked all of them individually, the same question: What’s one thing you would have done differently if you were my age all over again?

Think about that. That’s a really powerful question!

Here you are. Hanging out by the pool, enjoying life, well rested after your afternoon nap and you are getting ready for dinner at 5 P.M. You aren’t worrying as much as you used to, your kids are set, your grandkids are proving themselves in the real world and you can’t believe how big Roz Gilbert’s grandson got and how well he is doing. (Or, maybe you can believe it, but still.)

Then you have to answer the question: What would you have done differently if you were a young buck all over again?!?!

Just put yourself in that situation.

What if a 1st grader asked you that question?

And what would you do if differently if you were in 1st grade all over again?

When you get older and look back on your life, what are you going to remember, regret, or wish you had done differently?

The number one response I got was not to make excuses. Just go after it. Whatever the hell it is. “Go after your dreams Adam! If anyone can do it, it’s you! Just go after it!”

Some of my second family almost seemed bitter as they were saying that. As I forced them to look back on their life they realized they didn’t even come close to realizing their full potential!

Not realizing my full potential is literally my number one fear.

“Hell would be seeing what you could have accomplished if only you believed in yourself!”

Listen, we all want to be successful and happy.

But most of us just hope and wish…

That’s so sad!

Right now maybe it’s not sad, or maybe in 5 months it won’t be sad, or maybe in 2 years it won’t be sad or maybe even in 7 years it won’t be sad.

It’s not sad right now because we are living in the now and magically we always figure out ways to distract ourselves.

But when you look back in 10 or 20 years how are you going to answer the question of what would you have done differently?

In 50 years from now how are you going to answer that question?

Although, we are all going to be extremely cute grandparents, I don’t want any of us to be bitter grandparents who realized they made excuses their entire lives!

You’ll find this post funny:

Why do I have to eat dinner at 5pm?!?! (Do you have a few singles?)

That’s right. Just sit there, read this, keep hoping and wishing!

I originally wrote this article for Okdork.com and I got some awesome feedback from it. Check out the original article here but I thought I’d share it with you, right now, at 3:54 A.M. on Monday morning. Enjoy!

I left Ernst & Young on January 12th to go after my dreams. It was time to marry my lifelong passion of health and physical fitness with my passion for entrepreneurship. Boom! MyBodyTutor was born!

Now, it’s nothing but passion. I know this because the true feeling of wanting to (not having to or needing to) work on my business at 3 AM after I go out for the night is ALWAYS there. Life is way too short to not love what you do. How can you accept anything less? This is your life. Last time I checked, we only get one time around this amazing place. (I certainly don’t remember any other times!)

Yup…I thought I heard something. You just made an excuse. Why can’t you work on your passion part time? Just get it done. Stop wishing and hoping already! Just do.

In today’s ridiculously wired world of always being connected people have less and less time for the most important thing of all; numero uno. It’s too easy to say, “Screw it, I’ll start tomorrow!”
We all know that our dreams mean absolutely nothing without our health and physical fitness. It’s very easy to make excuses to yourself.

Except now there will be no more wishing and hoping for a healthier and fitter body.

That’s right. Just sit and read another story about someone going after their dreams and don’t do anything about your dreams.

This is all tough love. See, I left my small cog in a big wheel job because I wanted to make more of a difference. When you look and feel good you are way more inclined to take risks and do amazing things with your life. That is what I’m after.

So, it turns out that my trying to light a fire under your ass has everything to do with your health and physical fitness. The healthier you are, the more self confident you’ll be to go after YOUR dreams!

Considering I started this business 8 weeks ago, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress. One thing is for sure. I’ve been able to make my NYC rent.

I learned some very valuable lessons that anyone can learn from!

1. Never be scared to be yourself – The more I embrace who I am, the more success I am encountering. I was very hesitant to put shaven, oily pictures of myself in a Speedo on my website but I have to sell the goods. After all, I have been living the simple and easy to follow lifestyle I teach.

2. Be Obsessive – I believe you can only be anal about something you are so passionate about and believe in. I’m obsessive when it comes to customer service. It’s paying off.

3. The Social Life Test – This is the ultimate test. When you are willing to give up your social life, job, etc., etc., because you believe in something so much and WANT to work on your business instead of going out; don’t stop! You are onto something!

4. Do you love your clients? Tell them then. If it wasn’t for your clients you wouldn’t be able to do what you love doing in the first place. Oh that’s right. You don’t love what you do…

5. Offer a no questions asked, money back guarantee! This should go without saying but if you have the goods and can deliver them then you should 100% offer a money back guarantee. (Yes, that’s right. Try my program and if you don’t see amazing results, I’ll give you your money back. No questions asked.)

6. Are you still sitting at your computer? Go make it happen. Stop reading. Seriously. Use blogs like this one to learn but the best learning is actually doing!

7. Failure is not an option! You really have to believe in yourself and your service/product. Once you have that belief, the sky is the limit! Not making my rent can’t happen. It’s not possible.

8. You can’t fake passion! Whether it’s with a gf/bf, husband/wife, job/career/business you simply can’t fake it. Stop and go do something you are passionate about. (No pun intended.)

Finally, stop procrastinating and being fearful! When you love something so much and believe in what you are doing and know your product/service will change the world for the better you have no alternative but to be AFF (Absolutely F@#kin’ Fearless!).
